What we are seeing is the beginning of a pendulum between working from home and working in the office. Because of COVID-19, we have swung completely in the direction of working from home. This was mostly from a situation where employees worked in the office.
This quick shift was not by choice – companies were not prepared. They had no choice, moved very quickly, and learned an incredible amount along the way.
Some companies have decided that working from home will be allowed moving forward. Other companies are looking at how quickly they will be able to bring their employees back into the office.
The way I look at it, the pendulum is going to swing back. There are many factors that will weigh into where we land. I will write more about this soon. In the meantime, I want to share a number of interesting articles that have come out recently.
I hope that this is interesting and valuable to you. As a manager, you very likely will need to deal with a split team or organization.
